It’s time to shift around that summer vacation. Apple today announced that it will be kicking off this year’sWorld Wide Developers Conference on June 11th at San Francisco’s Moscone West. The event is set to run through the 15th, focusing on developing for OS X Mountain Lion and iOS, by way of 100-plus technical sessions and hands-on labs, letting the developer community work directly with Cupertino staff — and you can bet we’ll be there as well. More info on the event — including ticket purchasing details — can be found in the press release after the break.
Update: Aaand, it’s sold out. After two hours, Apple is saying that no more tickets are available. Looks like you’re going to have to enjoy some post-show videos instead.

could it be called……
it seems like apple has decided to drop the “numbers”. with the new ipad just being called “iPad” and not iPad 3. I makes sense actually, since the iPod touch (basically a smaller iPad) doesn’t have any numbers after its name, people just refer to the new ones as iPod Touch sometimes with reference to the generation like iPod Touch 5G. will people start to refer to the new iPad as 2nd gen or 3rd gen? because it is the 3rd iPad but the 2nd to be called just “iPad”. what will this mean for the future iPhones? will the numbers from them just drop as well? making the new iPhone be called “iPhone”?
what are your thoughts?
what will the ipod touch 5g look like?
there have been many concepts of what the ipod touch will look like. but one thing that is almost certain, it will look like the iphone 5 (when it is launched). here is a concept picture from Winksoft Studio
there are also rumors that the new ipod touch 5g will have NFC (near field communication) but as of yet nothing has been confirmed .
when will the ipod touch 5g be released?
when will the ipod touch 5g be released? well the ipad 3 will be announced in march our sources tell us. so does this mean the ipod touch 5g will be released at the same time? or will the ipod touch 5g be released with the next iphone? only time will tell.
share in the comments when you think the ipod touch 5g will be released!
iPad 3 announced first week of march?

Is the long, treacherous wait for the iPad 3 nearly at an end? That’s what anonymous sources tell All Things D. The site caught wind that an Apple event next month will host the announcement of the company’s latest tablet. The event is said to be slated for the first week of March at that popular Apple haunt, the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco — and seeing as how last year’s event was held on March 2nd, that timing doesn’t seem all that crazy to us. As for an actual release date, said sources are a bit less chatty.
3G Enabled iPod Touch 5G
Another Source States Apple is Working on 3G iPod Touch 5th Generation

With news of the iPod Touch 5G being very slow as of late good news came today concerning Apples music player. The iPod Touch 5G will contain 3G wireless connection according to AppleNapps. The claims come with an expected release date of very late September to early October. If 3G capability is in the works for the iPod Touch 5G then Apple is most likely testing out the plans with current partner carriers such as AT&T and Verizon. The source to AppleNapps also claims that Apple intends on making the announcement of the device in late September.
Also stated from the source was that Apple will be using the 3G with a monthly payment plan that requires NO CONTRACT. It took a considerable amount of work according to the source but that’s what we can expect come launch day. There has been a lot of evidence of 3G wireless connection (which can be seen here, here and here) and at this point it seems almost certain we’ll be seeing Apple make the upgrade.
iPod Touch 5g release event
it is more than likely that the iPod touch 5G will be released at WWDC 2012 (world wide developers conference). in the past the events have happened in march and june with them reviling the iphone 4 and both the iPads. so be patient because the iPod Touch 5G will arrive in 2 – 5 months.
if you find any news about the ipod touch 5g just tell us in the comments and we will share with the world.
everyone have a good day
iPod touch 5G to be announced today?
today is the first day of CES 2012! will the iPod Touch 5G be announced there today? I doubt it, apple has a media event at the end of the month which might be the announcement of the iPod Touch 5G. Apple claims that it will have nothing to do with the iPad 3 so maybe it is for the release of the iPod Touch 5G.
only time will tell.
I will update with any more news.
iPod Touch 5g Cases
There are many different cases for the iPod Touch and even the iPod Touch 5G cases are available now. We know of the iPod Touch 5G being the newest in the line of so many iPod Touches today. Most of us may think this differs greatly with the other versions and as such, might not have the cases for it that we can enjoy.
iPod Touch 5G for $149?
iPod Touch 5G was given a green signal by Apple this Monday, also surprising consumers with an unexpectedly lower pricing plan.
The newer iPod has miniscule hardware changes compared to the previous model. The only visible changes are that the product is available in white and also comes with iOS 5.
Considering the fact that Apple has not offered much with regards to changes, there are speculations in the market that the new iPod Touch could have its pricing set set at a much lower rate. During Black Friday, the price is expected to be perhaps reduced to as much as $149 and that too without gift card.
Apple has been planning towards increasing tremendously its revenue stream in the course of the holiday season. This has given weightage to the thought amongst the price watchers that Apple, with its incredibly low pricing of this product, wants to make it irresistable to customers.
